Ongoing Projects

The research group is committed to exploring the intricate interplay between the body and mind amidst challenging life circumstances and resilience. Our focus involves conducting diverse psychophysiological studies aimed at unraveling the impact of traumatic experiences on the human body and elucidating potential pathomechanisms associated with chronic diseases or complex symptomatology. Additionally, we delve into research areas encompassing adverse life events such as perfectionism, emotion regulation, cognitive tests, and the potential applications of neurotechnological innovations. Employing an interdisciplinary approach, our research group integrates expertise from psychology, medicine, psychophysiology, educational science, and neurotechnology.

Movement patterns analysis

Our research endeavors focus on the intricate interplay between movement, posture, and psychological trauma. Leveraging cutting-edge software-based methods, we meticulously analyze movement patterns and postural alignments to uncover potential correlations with psychological experiences. Additionally, our fine motor skills assessment tools offer precise and objective metrics, allowing for comprehensive exploration of these multifaceted connections. Through our work, we aim to shed light on the nuanced relationship between the musculoskeletal system and psychological well-being, paving the way for enhanced understanding and targeted interventions.

Understanding Pain in Trauma

Our research is focused on elucidating the impact of traumatic experiences on pain perception characteristics. Within this project, we have established distinct subdivisions to explore this phenomenon comprehensively. One subdivision specifically targets abused patients, investigating their pain tolerance and its relation to past trauma. Additionally, we conduct electromyography (EMG) tests in another subdivision to further delve into the intricacies of pain perception under traumatic circumstances. Through these specialized approaches, we aim to deepen our understanding of how psychological trauma influences pain processing, ultimately informing more effective therapeutic strategies.

Risk Taking Tendencies after Traumatic Experience

Our research group, in collaboration with Budapest Business University, is embarking on a groundbreaking project focused on economic decision-making and risk-taking tendencies. In this innovative endeavor, we aim to elucidate the intricate relationship between past traumatic experiences and their influence on business decisions and financial risk-taking behavior. By exploring how prior trauma shapes our approach to economic choices, we seek to uncover valuable insights into the psychological underpinnings of decision-making in the business realm. Through rigorous analysis and collaboration, we strive to advance our understanding of the complex interplay between personal history and economic behavior, ultimately contributing to more informed decision-making strategies.
